David Boles has been married to Janna Marie Sweenie for more than 30 years! Together, they have written seven books and created the Hardcore ASL website for online teaching and the SOS ASL internet portal for emergency first responders. Janna was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa -- where she attended the Iowa School for the Deaf -- and Janna's B.A. in Psychology is from Lehman College in the Bronx where she made history as one of the first Deaf graduates. Her M.A. in Deafness Rehabilitation is from New York University. Janna currently works for the State of New York as a Vocational Counselor and, for the last two decades, she has taught all levels of American Sign Language at NYU.
